Will I see YOU at Mayan Palace Riviera Maya Cancun?

I was laughing with a friend recently as she raved about her time at her first 5 Star Resort. I had a similar experience just a few years ago so I really appreciated her take on it.

She just spent a week at the Mayan Palace/Grand Mayan Resort. My friend met folks who bought a Timeshare at the Mayan Palace four years ago. So far they’ve stayed at the Mayan Palace three times now. You’ll understand why. And you don’t have to buy timeshare to enjoy this 5 Star Luxury resort at discount prices.

From your first moments at the front entry you’ll found the resort beautiful, magnificently landscaped, clean and well maintained. The Resort is HUGE, and there’s a tram to transport you around the property, but the wait was never that long, and the drivers were always pleasant.

There are so many activities you can participate in, by yourself or with the wonderful activity crew… which do a great job at making everyone smile And you just might make some new friends on the ride.

The main pool is probably the largest she’d ever seen. Even when there were hundreds of people in the pool, it was never crowded.

I recommended my friend stay near the Balche Restaurant. That’s where most of the adult activities and games take place. They play lots of music, water polo, volleyball, drinking games, etc.

Don’t forget about the pools that trickle down to the Grand Mayan Palace infinity pool. It’s not as large as the main pool, but it’s very nice and over looks the lake. The pools are open 24/7! In the summer the water can be a bit too warm. As you can imagine, if you visit in the winter, the water feels great.

It’s impossible to be there and not go in the ocean like everyone else. Bring your snorkel with you and be sure to wear water shoes. When swim out past the rocks you’ll find sandy slopes, crystal clear waters and beautiful tropical fish. AR the dome-like structures you see in the water (warning: it does get deep), you’ll see tons and tons of fish. Swim a little farther still, past the dome-structures, you’ll reach perfectly beautiful waters. It’s about 10-15 feet deep there. If you need to stand up you can stand on top of those dome structures.

If you’re not a good swimmer, it’s best that you wear a floating device of some kind. Do this and you’ll be on your way to experience fantastic snorkeling. Kids were swimming/snorkeling as well as adults of all ages.

You’ll find people snorkel and swim out in the clear part for hours everyday and loving every second of it. The fish were as tropical and as beautiful as anywhere else in the Caribbean (except for in Aruba!) The only company you’ll have is the waves from the jet ski’s and boat riding back and forth to transport the people that were para-sailing.

I haven’t even mentioned all the places to visit in the area. But I’ll save that for another article. And a description of where to eat at the resort as well. There are casual and dress up restaurants, great room service at reasonable prices, and even health food bars.

YOU don’t have to buy timeshare to enjoy this 5 Star Luxury resort at discount prices.

Placed on its own powdery white sandy beach, Morritt’s Grand Resort offers one of the most stunning Ocean Front views in the world

When I last glanced at it, GRN membership was showcasing a one bedroom unit available for immediate purchase for only $650 for the entire week.  (8 days / 7 nights)

Although I was unable to compare exact dates with the major travel providers (due to their lack of availability), I compared many similar dates/weeks and realized more than a $1,000.00 savings every time.

These types of savings and VIP access are available exclusively to GRN members.

I vote you get a GRN membership, take your love to a 5 star luxury vacation - and save the rest of your money for the other gifts - including his and her’s massages once you’re there ;-)

What do I mean?

Well - Here’s what you’ll pay elsewhere booking the exact week and size…

Expedia - N/A - they cannot get you in
Orbitz - $1,522.99

Of course the resort would love for you to tie yourself up with them by buying their timeshare, but I say DON’T!

When I last looked, GRN membership is showcasing a one bedroom unit at this beautiful resort for only $525 for the week.

That’s a minimum savings of over $960 for this one week alone. These type of savings are available exclusively to GRN members.

Vacation Quiet? Try Morritts Grand Resort Grand Cayman Island

February 7, 2009 by admin

I was talking with friends about the next vacation I want to take. From somewhere inside, a quiet voice said “white sand”. And I remembered that the article I’d been reading about luxury resort vacations had a photo of the Morritt’s Grand Resort.

Placed on its own powdery white sandy beach, Morritt’s Grand Resort offers one of the most stunning Ocean Front views in the world.

Now, people who have known me for years know that I’ll sleep sitting upright on a wood bench, or with my head pillowed on my jacket on a ferry boat lounge floor. Even so, there are times where pure luxury is exactly what I want on my time off.

Morritts Grand Resort Grand Cayman

Morritts Grand Resort Grand Cayman

This resort is located on a pristine beach on the quiet, exclusive side of Grand Cayman in the Caribbean. That makes it a great vacation getaway from the East Cost or Europe. That won’t stop me from flying from Los Angeles to stay for a week at a 5 star resort for what it would cost to stay in a local hotel.

When you first walk into the premier vacation resort in the Cayman Islands, you’re greeted with cathedral ceilings, unbelievably spacious kitchens with views of the ocean, and an atmosphere that will have you saying “I’m definitely on vacation.” More than that, at the Morriits resort you might find yourself tempted to stay in your rooms the entire time if it wasn’t for all the wonderful activities available around the island.

Five star amenities include elevators, spacious kitchens overlooking the Caribbean Sea, breathtaking views from your Master Bedroom, and more!

The room are a dream: every room includes a microwave, iron and ironing board, super-sized refrigerator, king size bed, TV and DVD player, along with white ceramic tile floors reaching through both the kitchen and living room.

Whether in a 4th floor Super Penthouse or in a 1st floor beach access one-bedroom apartment, your room will instantly have you unwinding. If you really want to splurge book yourself into one of the Morritt’s Grand Resort penthouse units. You’ll have over fifteen hundred square feet of room, including romantic jet tubs, as a starter. You can relax overlooking the Caribbean Sea from any of these rooms.

In house activities can range from relaxing while getting massages or get your blood moving in a week-long aerobics class.

Luxurious room and luxurious grounds.

The atmosphere is different than many other resorts. Peaceful balconies, and secluded from other tourists.

All the water sports you’d ever want are available either at the resort or very close. The Morritt’s Grand Resort can keep you busy with swimming pools, snorkeling trips, and for those adventurous types, a little taste of windsurfing. You’ll also find the best scuba diving and snorkeling in the world.

You can go fishing, boating, golfing, or try one of the many other activities available in the surrounding area. Or look for me, just lounging to enjoy the beautiful ocean front pool.

And letting myself be treated royally by the world’s best customer service staff.

That’s one of the things I love best about being on a luxury resort vacation at a resort like the Morritt’s Grand Resort. Care to join me?

Best Rated “Timeshare” Playa Linda Resort

January 24, 2009 by admin

Spacious and exceptionally well-designed, the Playa Linda Beach Resort won the RCI Gold Crown Award for fourteen consecutive years (1992-2006), a designation given to resorts that have attained the highest level of excellence in resort accommodations and hospitality. Interval International also bestowed 5 Star Status on the resort for 2005 and 2006.

Playa Linda features beautifully decorated and fully appointed vacation homes

That’s nice to know, but let’s talk price…

What do you think about 5 Star Luxury for only 698/wk?

AND the only way to get that price without going through the agony of being kidnapped into a breakfast, or trapped trying to trade each year, is a completely different kind of membership: GRN (Global Resorts Network).

It’s the BEST! Buy a nominal membership, then choose where you want to go, and they get you in at the member price.

Just for comparison’s sake: the exact same size unit and dates, booking through the resort directly, will set you back about $2,000. Purchasing a timeshare week will cost over 3 times that much, with yearly maintenance fees on top of that.

Owning a membership through GRN allows you to request (wholesale) access to this resort at any time.  Another major benefit of membership is the enormous amount of “live weeks”  that are available to us year-round. (They have pre-purchased inventory)

When last I looked, membership was showcasing a one bedroom unit available for immediate access at this resort for only $698.00.  ($1300 savings)

That’s your total cost for an entire 8 days and seven nights - plus you’re not tied to this one resort.

Why YOU should be at Wyndham Sapphire Beach Club & Resort

January 17, 2009 by admin

If you’re like me and you want beautiful scenery and wonderful weather when you go to a vacation resort, you’d love the Wyndham Sapphire Beach Club & Resort.

Have you ever thought to yourself “I want to bathe in the balmy Caribbean for my next vacation!”

The literature I read ahead of time said “Situated on the Dutch side, and mere minutes from the French side, the Sapphire Beach Club & Resort is surrounded by a lush tropical garden.” No kidding! It was gorgeous.

Wyndham Sapphire Beach Club

Wyndham Sapphire Beach Club

Their secluded beach was just what I love: a perfect spot for swimming, snorkeling and water sports. Those will keep me happy for days.

I’m an early riser and it’s great to have water all to myself for a while. There were pools to splash in. And within walking distance were sandy beaches. The water is beautiful, clear and warm, exactly what I want on my best vacations!

Day-sails to nearby islands, scuba diving, boating, fishing, shopping, casinos and the best dining in the Caribbean. For me, those are the perfect vacation activities – and I don’t have to decide what I want in advance!

Oh and to be honest, my ideal vacation resort is one where I don’t have to eat out all the time. I prefer to keep most of my meals light and easy. I really enjoyed the convenience of a full kitchen and having a cafe and grocery store right on site.

Wyndham Sapphire Beach Club

It was wonderful to have our meals on our private balcony overlooking the indescribably beautiful Caribbean Sea. A great way to relax and appreciate our vacation resort getaway.

I know that I’m not necessarily typical of people heading for 5-Star Luxury Resorts. In fact one of my business colleagues told me flat out that when he and his wife go on vacation they want to get away from it all.

For them, that means being treated as they never are at home. They want to sleep in late, dine on five course meals, and have spa treatments every day. They want to read two or three books and maybe chat with the other vacationers.

Basically they want to stay ‘on-site’ for their entire stay. That’s one way to use a vacation resort.

That’s not my preference! I like to be up with the sun (and there’s plenty of it in the Caribbean), and find at least 3 hours of physical activity every day. That can be wandering the shore lines looking for unique shells, and hiking trails, or snorkeling.

Wyndham Sapphire Beach Club

I love the luxury of the rooms for when I’m done with my day, to wash off the salt and sand. And of course I don’t say no to all the bath oils and balms and shampoos they provide.

The beauty of a vacation resort is that it provides that perfect next to come ‘home to’, a great bath to unwind in, and a balmy breeze in the window at the end of the day.

That’s what I’m looking for when I’m heading to a vacation resort!

Luxury Vacation Awaits in Aruba Paradise

January 17, 2009 by admin

Have you been thinking you’d like to spend your next vacation at a luxury resort? On a glorious 600-foot stretch of Eagle Beach, this timeshare resort property offers some of Aruba’s most impressive accommodations.

WAIT - don’t be too quick to click away just because you see that magic “T” word… I’m NOT into timeshares. This is actually something completely different.

Costa Linda Beach Resort Aruba

Costa Linda Beach Resort Aruba

There are several reasons you ought to read this - first as a point of comparison with other properties you’re thinking of visiting. Second - just to enjoy the idea of being there (I do so loooove vicarious travel). And THIRD - because if you are like me, you’ve wondered about the value of using ANY timeshare model to have the vacations you want to … and pay less.

One of the reasons I suggest you read through the following is to have a sense of the property itself. Costa Linda is the premier choice for vacationers who demand the ultimate in vacationing luxury… Without question, this is one of the most luxurious resorts on all of the island. Every aspect of this magnificent Oceanside resort was custom-designed to please even the most discriminating vacationer.

  • Two bedroom units include all the amenities you want on a luxury vacation: Tropical Decor, Air Conditioning, Fully-Equipped Kitchen, Private Balcony With Ocean-View,  2 Color Satellite TV’s, Roman Tub & Separate Shower, Telephones & Room Safe, & Mon-Sat Maid Service
  • On-site amenities include jacuzzis, tennis courts, a fitness center, a pool bar, restaurants, and much more
  • 18 holes of golf close by at Tiera De Sol Golf Course, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr.
  • I mentioned the beauty of the place: Feast your eyes…

    Costa Linda Beach Resort Aruba

    Costa Linda Beach Resort Aruba

Incredible strolls along the shore OR bathe in this exquisite water.

And if you’re wondering if there are enough ways for you to laze away your day…

    Costa Linda Beach Resort Aruba

    Costa Linda Beach Resort Aruba

Spend your time at pool-side or moving from one area to another with open sun or shade… An inviting blue pool sits in the center of the manicured grounds.

    Costa Linda Beach Resort Aruba

    Costa Linda Beach Resort Aruba

In the evening, take a stroll to the nearby Alhambra Casino.

Pure relaxation at a resort where the name of this hotel, Spanish for “beautiful coast,” speaks for itself.

The reason I’m sharing this with you is that I KNOW… I’ve spent hours thinking to “T” or not to “T”.

I believe in being well-informed about the options so that I can decide what to look in to further. SO, I want you to know that there’s no way to come here through regular travel agents. They’ll book you elsewhere on the island and be pleased to charge you for the exact same size unit (2 bedroom) and dates, you would pay $3,198.00 booking direct for a one week stay at this resort.

OK - so that’s the “hotel” side of it.

Next - let’s look at the “T” side of it. The truth is that purchasing a timeshare week for this time of year starts at around $15,000.00

Now I don’t know about you, but I sure can find a lot I’d rather do with my money than tie that much up on a single property.

That’s the fundamental reason that I’m blown away by the fact that on the same day I was debating going to this resort, GRN was offering their members the same one week stay in August for only $799.00. (2 bedroom suite)

With your GRN membership, you’ve just saved $2,399.00 from hotel prices just this one week alone!

AND here’s the kicker - the one-time few thousand dollars cost for lifetime membership at GRN means I wouldn’t have to come to this resort every vacation, or even ever again - I pick the next place I want to go and just book it, at the same kinds of savings.

    Ready to go stroll?
